Some of my Tropical Paintings

How do I get crisp lines?  I draw the picture on the protective cover on the back of the sheet of acrylic, backwards of what I want the finished painting to be.  Then I cut it with an exacto knife and peal out the section I'm going to paint.  That gives me a unique, detailed mask.  The first photo shows me cutting the palm fronds for Eau Gallie Causeway.
